Chrysti Atkins is an emerging pastel artist based in Lockwood South, on the outskirts of Bendigo. A self professed ‘Bird Nerd’, she is partial to capturing, in pastel, the many varieties of beautiful birds found on her property.
With a focus on acurately recreating light and texture, her work seeks to reflect the beauty she sees in the nature that surrounds her.
Chrysti has been painting, for the last 5 years, developing her style blending the use of PanPastel, soft pastel and pastel pencils, using her own photos, as inspiration, of backyard birds as well as reminiscent scenes from overseas trips.
Chrysti has been commissioned to create one-of-a-kind pet and human portraits, and enjoys sharing her artworks in regional art shows.
